When you join the game, you are immediately placed in the overall Public Group, where your score is compared against that of Tournament fans from around the world using Yahoo! Sports' default scoring. This overall public group affiliation does not count as one of the five maximum groups you can join.
Additionally, you can join any of our "Fans Of" groups to compete against others who support the same schools as you.
And, if you're looking for a little smaller gathering, try one of our Private Groups. You can create your own password protected group (each group is limited to 500 players) or join someone else's simply by getting the Group ID# and Password from the group creator.
All users can join up to five total groups (any combination of Private and / or Fans Of groups), but can only associate one of their brackets with each group. For example, if you have joined the "Fans of UCLA" group, you are only allowed to assign one bracket to that particular group. If you later join a Private group you are allowed to create a different bracket than the one made in the "Fans of UCLA" group. Therefore, you can create a bracket in each of your different groups.
