Once any trade offer is accepted, the entire league will be notified so that all managers will have an opportunity to review the deal.
If a manager feels that the deal is unfair, he/she can lodge an official protest with the Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball PLUS League Office. Every protest, which must contain a description of why the protesting coach feels the trade should be vetoed, will be reviewed by members of the Yahoo! Sports staff within 24-48 hours. Any protest without a legitimate reason, will automatically be ignored.
In a Public League, protests by four or more managers within two days will veto the trade. In a Custom League set for "League Votes" as the trade-review method, the commissioner can set the review period to be anywhere between one and seven days. In such leagues, a protest from one-third of managers will result in a veto. So, a 12-team league requires four votes for a veto. We always round fractions up, so a ten-team league also requires four votes, even though one-third of ten is actually three-and-a-third. The commissioner may also choose to assume control, in which case only the commissioner can approve or veto trades.
If the League Office feels as though a protested trade is fair, the protest will be denied. If, however, the trade is clearly a product of collusion or is so one-sided that it is deemed to be unfair to the rest of the league, it will be overturned.
It is not the purpose of the League Office to prevent coaches from making unwise trades, but rather to simply ensure that all coaches in a league are competing on a level and fair playing field.
All decisions on trade protests are final, and no completed and approved trade will ever be reversed. Additionally, we will never re-examine and approve a vetoed trade.
