I had a big day statistically; why didn’t my overall Rotisserie total change?

As the season progresses, the separation between teams in each category widens. For example, the team with the most pitching wins may have 68 wins and the team with the second most may have 61 wins. Similarly, teams in the middle of the pack in each category may be separated by 10 or more home runs, runs batted in, pitcher strikeouts, etc.

Your rotisserie total will change only when your ranking in one or more categories changes and is not offset by a change in the opposite direction in another category. You may hit 10 home runs in a single day without changing your season ranking in the home run category. Or the 10 home runs may result in a one-point change in the standings that is offset if you lose ground in another category.

Your stats have not been wasted. A good day statistically in any category will cut the gap between your team and the teams ahead of you or may widen your lead in those categories you are leading in your league.
