Take the field with Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball PLUS and step into the dugout as manager of your own team of professional baseball players from opening day right through the late season pennant races.

Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball PLUS is a game of skill where you compete against other users to win prizes based on your knowledge and skill in assembling and managing a fantasy baseball team. Your goal is to get the best team on the field each week, since the better your players perform in real-life games, the more value they bring to your fantasy team.

And, while you sit back and watch your team progress through the season, we do all the hard work of gathering statistics, computing point totals, and updating standings.

There are two separate contests (in these rules, referred to as "Contests") offered in connection with Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball PLUS – a full-season game and a midseason game. For the 2008 full-season game, payment of an entry fee of $24.99 is required to register one team. Managers purchasing multiple teams will receive a 50 percent discount on all teams after their initial purchase; the entry fee is $12.50 for each additional team. League commissioners may purchase a league for $124.99 and invite up to 20 managers to join their pre-paid league. The entry fee for the midseason Contest will be announced prior to the start of the registration for the midseason game.

If you are not an existing Yahoo! ID holder, you will also be asked to create a Yahoo! ID, under which you will manage your team. Follow the on-screen directions to completely fill out the entry form with your entry information. As part of your entry, you will be asked to provide valid contact information. You are not required to complete this information to participate in Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball PLUS, but this information is mandatory if you wish to be considered for a league prize at the end of the season. A user who has not provided valid registration information will automatically be deemed ineligible and will not be considered for a prize.

Please note that individual teams may only be played under the Yahoo! ID with which they were each created, and may not be transferred to another Yahoo! ID or played by another person. Also, you may not share an account with another person or allow another user to play under your Yahoo! ID.

However, if you purchase a league, any user with the appropriate League ID and Password will be able to operate a team under his or her individual Yahoo! ID. Prospective league members will just need to enter the required information after choosing the Join Existing League option from the Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball PLUS home page.

If you wish to create a league with your friends, you must purchase a league or have each member sign up for his or her own team separately using his or her own Yahoo! ID.
