Yahoo! Avatars lets you save your favorite avatar looks, both by saving individual items and by saving entire avatars.

Saving Your Favorites

Favorite Items
In the Yahoo! Avatars "closet," each item has a link marked "+Add to Favorites" above it. When you click this link, the item is saved to your My Favorites section under the Favorite Items tab. Please note that new items are listed first under Favorite Items.

Items which have been added to My Favorites have an "In My Favorites" link in the catalog. Clicking this link removes the item from the My Favorites area.

In the Favorites Items tab, you can remove an item by checking the box next to the item, and then clicking "Remove."

You can have a maximum of 32 individual items saved in My Favorites.

Items for a specific gender (male or female) are not available to the opposite gender even if you have saved it in My Favorites. Backgrounds and non-gender-specific items are available for both male and female avatars under the same Yahoo! ID.

Favorite Avatars
You can save an entire avatar—face, hair, eyes, skin tone, clothing, backgrounds, and extras—in My Favorites by clicking the "Add to Favorites" button below "Save Changes" and "Cancel" on the Avatar Preview Window. This feature is only available after you have saved your avatar (see "How can I save my avatar?").

You are prompted to enter a name for your new favorite avatar. Type in a name, then click "Add." If you don't enter a name, your avatar is saved as "My Favorite Avatar #", where "#" starts with "1" and increases for each new favorite avatar you save.

Please note that you can have a maximum of 12 male and 12 female avatars saved in My Favorites. If your current avatar is male, you only see your saved male avatars in My Favorites. Likewise, if your current avatar is female, you only see your saved female avatars in My Favorites.

Managing Your Favorites

Favorite Items
Click the "Favorite Items" tab in My Favorites to see, manage, and add favorites to your current avatar. You can add a favorite item to your current avatar by clicking the item. Please note that you must click "Save Changes" to make this selection a permanent part of your current avatar.

To remove an item from Favorite Items, check the box below the item, then click the "Delete" button. You can also select or deselect all the items in Favorite Items page by clicking "check all" or "clear all."

Favorite Avatars
Click the "Favorite Avatars" tab in My Favorites to see, manage, and swap favorite avatars with your current avatar. To change, simply click the avatar in your Favorite Avatars section. Please note that you must click "Save Changes" to make this avatar your current avatar.

To remove an item from Favorite Avatars, check the box below the item, then click the "Delete" button.

You can also select or deselect all the items in the Favorite Avatars by clicking "check all" or "clear all."
