You can only rate a seller who you've had a transaction with. Yahoo! Auctions encourages participants to communicate their experience with a buyer or seller to others by using the Yahoo! Auctions rating system.

Bidders are encouraged to rate sellers after the transaction is completed (payment made, item received). It's a great way to voice your opinion on how a seller participates in the auction process. This allows other users to decide whether or not they want to do business with that participant.

Here's how to rate a seller:

1. Click "My Auctions" in the upper-right corner of any page in Yahoo! Auctions.
2. Select the "Won" option, then scroll down to find the appropriate auction.
3. Click the "Rate Seller" link located on the right side of the page.
4. Select a rating (Good, Neutral, or Bad) from the pull-down menu. Enter your feedback in the comment field.

Please remember that your feedback cannot be edited, although you can change the rating you have given to a seller, and post additional comments about them, at any time. Your most recent rating replaces your old one, and your new comments are marked "most recent" on the user's ratings page.
