What kind of filtering can I apply when I sync between the Yahoo! and desktop PIMs?

You can customize what’s transferred during synchronization. Get started like this:

  1. In the Autosync menu, click Advanced Settings.
  2. Click Filters & Mapping.
  3. Click Filters.

You’ll see the selected filter highlighted.

  • To apply a filter, select the filter you want to use.
  • To edit an existing filter, select the filter and click Edit.
  • To rename an existing filter, select the filter and click Rename.
  • To delete an existing filter, select the filter and click Delete.

Note: Only one filter can be used at a time. The previously selected filter is no longer applied.

Note: Filtering on unmapped fields is not supported and can cause unexpected results, including data loss on the other application.

Note: Records that do not meet the specified filter criteria, but that were modified on the desktop PIM prior to synchronizing with the filter, will be transferred to the other application along with the records that met the filter criteria.
