How do I find people in a certain location?

A shortcut to search by location is to simply search in the Interests field, which is at the bottom of your home page and also on the Search page.
For more advanced search, go to the Search page, and click "Advanced." There you can use the pull-down menus for state and country, and use the text fields to search by living location, school location, or work location.
