Why are my friends not receiving invitations?

There are several reasons why a Yahoo! 360° invitation may not be received.
Invitations via Yahoo! Messenger: If you used the Yahoo! Messenger picker on the Invitation Compose page to send an invite to your friend's Messenger ID, that invitation was sent to the primary email address your friend associated with that ID. In some cases, that address is old or not regularly used so your friend may not have received the invitation. Here is what you can do to work around this:
  • Ask your friend to look for the inviation at the primary email address the friend uses for Yahoo! Messenger. Your friend can check Yahoo! Profiles for the email address.
  • Send your friend another invitation directly to an email address you know the friend checks regularly.
Bounced Invitations: For various reasons, the invitation you sent may not get delivered to your friend at all. This could happen if:
  • The email address was entered incorrectly.
  • The email server rejected the invite.
To check if an invitation you sent bounced, go to your Yahoo! 360° Mailbox and look at the outstanding invitation. We will tell you if it bounced.
If it did bounce, make sure you correctly entered the email address. If you did, then there may be another problem. Try sending a new invitation to a different email address for your friend.
Invitations in Your Friend's Yahoo! 360° Mailbox: If you invited someone who was already using Yahoo! 360°, then your invitation was delivered to that person's Yahoo! 360° Mailbox. Have your friend check the mailbox to view and accept the invitation.
Turn on Alerts: Make sure you and your Yahoo! 360° friends have alerts turned on and set correctly, using valid email addresses, to be notified when an invitation arrives in your mailbox. Go to Alert Settings to make sure it's set up.
