What are pop-ups?

Pop-ups are small windows that appear when you are browsing the Internet. Typically, they appear without you having to click anything and are often advertisements for products or services related to the web page you are viewing. Many web surfers feel that pop-ups are intrusive and prefer to block them whenever possible.
