The technical contact for your domain is the individual or organization authorized to manage any technical issues related to your domain. Along with the registrant, administrative, and billing contacts for your domain, the technical contact will receive all renewal and other administrative notices associated with the domain name.

Yahoo! is the default technical contact for domains purchased through Yahoo! after January 22, 2001 (or, for Merchant Solutions customers, March 23, 2001). However, the technical contact for your domain may be yourself or another individual you trust to make decisions about your domain name registration.
