When you upgrade or downgrade from a service paid on a monthly basis, you will be refunded a prorated amount based on the number of days remaining within your current service period.
For example, imagine you signed up for a service on the first of the month and pay $20 a month. Fifteen days into the month, you decide to upgrade or downgrade your service.
First you will receive a refund for $10 (equal to half of your service period) for the unused portion of your monthly service. Then you will be charged the full amount for your new service. Your new monthly billing date will be the 15th, the day of the month on which you upgraded or downgraded.
Note: Prorations apply to monthly services only. If you upgrade or downgrade from a service paid on an annual basis, you will not receive a prorated refund for that service.
