How will adding Private Domain Registration affect my billing charges?

For your convenience, we've streamlined our billing system, making it easy to review and manage your Small Business fees.

Adding Private Domain Registration to Your Current Plan
When you add Private Domain Registration to your plan, we will synchronize the billing date of the Private Domain Registration service with that of your AT&T Yahoo! plan. Your Private Domain Registration fee will be prorated to account for the different billing dates.

Example:
You sign up for a Merchant Solutions plan on January 1st. Because Merchant Solutions plans are billed monthly, you would be billed on the 1st of each month thereafter.

On August 15th, you sign up for Private Domain Registration. Since you are signing up in the middle of your normal billing cycle, you'll receive a prorated initial bill on August 15th for half of the monthly Private Domain Registration fee.

On September 1st, both your plan and your new Private Domain Registration service will automatically renew, and you'll be charged the full monthly fee for both services.

Adding Private Domain Registration to a New Plan

If you add Private Domain Registration to your order when you sign up for a Small Business plan, we'll include charges for both items on the same bill. You'll be billed on the same day of each billing cycle.

Annual: If you purchase a AT&T Yahoo! Domains plan plus Private Domain Registration on January 1st, for example, your initial bill will include both your annual Domains fee and your annual Private Domain Registration fee. On December 15th, you'll receive a notice alerting you that your plan and service will automatically renew on January 1st (your annual billing anniversary).

Nonannual: If you instead purchase a AT&T Yahoo! Merchant Solutions plan plus Private Domain Registration on January 1st, your initial bill will include both your monthly Merchant Solutions fee and your monthly Private Domain Registration fee, along with any applicable one-time setup charges. On the 1st of each month thereafter (your monthly billing anniversary), you'll be charged your monthly Merchant Solutions and Private Domain Registration fees.

Adding Private Domain Registration to a Multiyear Domains Plan
If you purchase a 2-, 3-, or 5-year AT&T Yahoo! Domains plan with Private Domain Registration, keep in mind that we bill Private Registration annually. When your domain term ends, we'll start billing your Domains service annually, too. For example, if you have a domain with a three-year term, we'll charge you for Private Domain Registration next year. In three years, we'll charge you for Private Domain Registration, plus the annual fee for your domain.

Upgrading and Downgrading
If you choose to switch from an annual to a monthly AT&T Yahoo! Small Business plan, or from a monthly to an annual plan, a new billing anniversary date will be set for both your plan and the Private Domain Registration service, and your bill may be prorated accordingly. Learn more about how upgrading and downgrading can affect your bill.
