Viewing Marketing Activity Costs

A marketing activity is any part of a campaign for which you want to track cost information. Marketing activities may include paid search ads, banner ads and email. For marketing activities that occur outside of search marketing on the Yahoo! Network, you can enter their associated costs. The information that you enter is listed in the Marketing Activity Costs page and will be available for reporting.

To view marketing activity costs effective during a specific date range:

1. Click the Reports tab > Marketing Activity Costs subtab. The Marketing Activity Costs page opens.

2. Click the calendar icon in the right-hand side of the table. The Select Date Range dialogue box opens.

3. Select the start date and the end date.

4. Click the Apply link at the bottom of the dialogue box. The marketing activity costs effective during the selected date range are displayed in the Marketing Activity Costs page.

Searching for Marketing Activity Costs

Use the search criteria to display the set of marketing activity costs that you have a specific interest in. By entering certain search criteria, you are selecting which data will be displayed.

To search for marketing activity costs associated with specific marketing activities:

1. Click the Reports tab > Marketing Activity Costs subtab. The Marketing Activity Costs page opens.

2. Select the tactic, channel or marketing activity for which you would like to view associated marketing activity costs. For example:

   1. To view all marketing activity costs associated with a specific tactic, select a tactic from the Tactic dropdown list.

   2. To search for marketing activity costs associated with any campaigns that have campaign names starting with "2006":

      1. Select Campaigns in the Search for Costs in dropdown list.

      2. Select Begins with in the Where Name dropdown list.

      3. Enter "2006" in the text field.

3. Click the Search button. The marketing activity costs associated with the tactic, channel or marketing activity that you entered are displayed in the Marketing Activity Costs page.

Sorting Marketing Activity Costs Data

Once you have the information you need, you may then sort the data. When you sort the data, all of the information in the table will be organised by the column you chose to sort by.

To sort the data in the marketing activity cost table:

1. Click the Reports tab > Marketing Activity Costs subtab. The Marketing Activity Costs page opens.

2. Click the column header that you’d like to sort the data by. The data in the table will be sorted in descending order, based on the column header that you’ve clicked.

3. To change how the data is sorted, click a different column header.
