Use the Ad Group Settings page to make changes to your ad group's general information and tactic settings. You can also copy, move or delete your ad group.

Viewing Ad Group Settings

You can view the settings for your ad group from the Ad Group Settings page.

To open the Ad Group Settings page:

1. Click the Campaigns tab. The Campaigns page opens.

2. Identify the campaign that contains the ad group and click its link. The Campaign Details page opens.

3. Identify the ad group and click its link. The Ad Group Details page opens.

4. Click the Ad Group Settings button. The Ad Group Settings page opens.

Ad Group General Information

General information about ad groups include:

• Ad Group Name – Shows the name of your ad group.

• Ad Group Status – Shows whether your ad group is active or paused. Ads in your ad group do not display when your ad group is paused.

• Optimise Ad Display – Shows if ad display optimization is on or off for ad groups that employ the Sponsored Search tactic. When turned on, the settings for ad group optimization guidelines apply.

• Watch List – Shows whether or not the ad group is in your watch list.

Note: To edit the Ad Group General Information settings, click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the Ad Group General Information panel.

Tactic Settings

The settings available for your Sponsored Search and Content Match tactics include:

• Sponsored Search Ad Group Bid – When campaign optimisation is off, set a default maximum bid for Sponsored Search keywords in this ad group. You can override your ad group bid for individual keywords.

• Sponsored Search Ad Group Bid Limit – When campaign optimisation is on, set a default maximum bid limit for Sponsored Search keywords in this ad group.

• Match Type – Choose standard or advanced match for your ad groups.

• Content Match Ad Group Bid – When campaign optimisation is off, set a default maximum bid for Content Match in this ad group. You can override your ad group bid limit for individual keywords.

• Content Match Ad Group Bid Limit – When campaign optimisation is on, set a default maximum bid limit for Content Match in this ad group.

Note: To edit the Ad Group Tactic settings, click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the Ad Group Tactic Settings panel.

Copying, Moving and Deleting Ad Groups

To copy an ad group:

1. Open the Ad Group Settings page.

2. Click the Copy button.

3. Follow the instructions on the Copy Ad Group page.

To move and ad group:

1. Open the Ad Group Settings page.

2. Click the Move Ad Group button.

3. Follow the instructions on the Move Ad Group page.

To delete an ad group:

1. Open the Ad Group Settings page.

2. Click the Delete Ad Group button. The Delete Ad Group dialogue box opens.

3. Click Save Changes to delete your ad group.

Note: You can use advanced search on the Campaign Details page to locate deleted ad groups. Click the down-arrow to the right of the Search Button and select Advanced Search. The Advanced Search pop-up opens. In the Status field choose Deleted.
