Tools for group commissioners

If you created a group, you are the 'Commissioner' for that group.

From the Fantasy Football home page, navigate to the Groups section in the sub nav. Click on the link for the group you created.

This is your group page, showing standings and the group message board, just like any other group of which you're a member. However, as a group Commissioner, there are two differences.

First, if you open a message on the group message board, you will see you have a Delete button, allowing you to delete messages that you think are unsuitable. Normal group members cannot do this - even to their own messages.

Second, you'll have an additional link on the top-right of the page, titled Commissioner Tools.

The Commissioner Tools page gives you options to:
  • Invite friends to your group, so you can see where your teams stand in relation to each other;
  • Lock group members - this is a way to prevent some members from posting to the message board if they're getting out of order;
  • Remove group members - you can remove anyone from a group. (Note that members can also remove themselves from Private Groups);
  • Change the password for that group. Anyone you invite to your Private Group will need to know this password - so you may wish to make it a different password to your own logon password.
As a group commissioner you are responsible for the group. Other members do not have a right of dispute if you delete their messages, block them, or remove them from a group. Yahoo! assumes no responsibility for the management of private groups.
