Save to My Help

Save this article to My Help for easy reference. You can visit the article at any time from any computer.

Replace an article

You have reached the maximum number of saved articles. Your oldest saved article will be replaced with the new one.

Please visit the Yahoo! Search preferences page. SearchScan has three settings:

  • Never display potentially harmful web sites in search results – Sites with hacking risks, dangerous downloads and unsolicited email will be removed from your search results.
  • Alert me to potentially harmful web sites – Default setting. Sites with hacking risks will be filtered from your search results. Search results for sites with dangerous downloads or unsolicited email will be flagged with an alert.
  • Do nothing to protect me from harmful web sites – SearchScan will be turned off for your searches.
