A children's charity that is working to help make the Internet a great and safe place for children. Their site has lots of resources with practical advice for children, young people, parents and carers, and teachers on the safe and responsible use of technology.

This Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) site explains how bullying can move from the playground into someone’s private online space, and provides advice on what you can do if you’re being bullied online.
Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) - Social Networking
Information and advice about how young people can protect their personal details when using social networking sites.

Samaritans provides confidential emotional support - by telephone, email, letter and in person in most branches - 24 hours a day. Samaritans is available to anyone in the UK and Ireland. If you live outside the UK and Ireland, you can find your nearest helpline by visiting www.befrienders.org.

This site, operated by the charity YouthNet, provides factsheets and articles on key issues facing young people, and a community area enabling 16-24 year-olds to express themselves and address their concerns.

This site looks at how you can really get the most out of online services and provides free resources for children, parents and teachers about safe and responsible behaviour online. It also allows users to report inappropriate behaviour towards children online.

Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP)
This organisation forms part of the Serious and Organised Crime Agency. It is working with Internet companies, schools and other organisations to fight Internet crimes against children and educate children how to be safer online. It also provides some useful guidance for parents and teachers.

Know IT All is a set of resources developed by Internet charity Childnet International to help educate both young people, parents, and teachers about safe and positive use of the Internet.
