If you're having trouble with your password or have forgotten it, get a new password here.

On this form, you'll need to enter your exact Yahoo! ID, your birthday, and the ZIP or postal code you provided when you registered for the account. After we confirm this information, you can choose to obtain your new password in one of two ways:

  • Display new password on-screen: If you chose an identifying question at registration, you can enter the answer here to verify your identity. Once you have answered the question correctly, your new password will be displayed on-screen.
  • Get new password in an email: Choose this option to send your new password to the alternate email address you gave when you registered. If you lost access to your alternate email address and are having trouble with the first method, please contact the Sign-In and Registration department.

Please Note: Your new password applies to all Yahoo! properties, so you'll need to remember it when you sign in to other services, such as Yahoo! Messenger or Yahoo! music. And if you have more than one Yahoo! ID, you'll have to request a new password for each one separately.
