Good to go!

If there are problems, consider going through this process to make a clean password which can be the source of some problems:

  1. Delete the Yahoo ID on currently on your iPhone.
  2. Turn off your iPhone.
  3. Log into your PC and change your password. Many errors care caused by the way the iPhone encrypts some characters. Please ensure your new password has no special characters (any character which is not a letter or a number, such as @ or *). This will reset our registration systems and ensure that Apple treats your ID as a new connection.
  4. Turn your iPhone back on.
  5. Set up your Yahoo account on your iPhone using the Yahoo option. Please make sure that you enter your new password when setting up the account.
  6. Make sure that your iPhone is not set to Manual Push. To verify this, please take the following steps:
    1. Open Settings and Select Mail > Auto Check
    2. Ensure that Auto Check is not set to Manual.

Those steps should trigger a re-sync between your Apple Device and our systems. Try mail again.

Note: If you run into a problem after you add your Yahoo Mail account, please make a note of this information:

  • Your Yahoo ID.
  • The exact error message you are receiving on your iPhone when you attempt to access your mail.
  • The version of the firmware on your iPhone.
  • The version of the software on your iPhone. To find this out, connect your phone to your computer, start iTunes, and choose iPhone in the DEVICES list. Note the number for Software Version. The version is important for us to know to figure out the security updates that have been installed on your iPhone. You can also choose General > About and select Software Version.
  • If you use your iPhone with Wi-Fi only. If you use a carrier's network, note which carrier you have a contract with. If it's AT&T, note if you have a contract or are a AT&T Go! Phone user.
  • If you know your phone has been altered ("hacked") to use non-Apple products or software, or work on a network other than AT&T.

Then click this link: Yahoo Mobile Help Form.

Fill out the form, enter the information you noted in Please describe your problem , and click Submit.

Don't have a Yahoo Mail account yet? It's fast (and free) to set one up. After setting up your account, follow the steps above.
