Many devices have a four-key control surrounding a center key. The four keys are used to scroll up or down and to scroll left or right through the lists of items on the display. These keys can also be in a ring that can be pressed at four compass points. When you scroll to an item you can choose, it is highlighted in orange. You use the center key to choose the item.

Press * on the keypad or the green key to search the address book.

There are some devices that provide the scrolling function and input functions in other ways.

For a particular Yahoo! Go 2.0 feature, a device can show in one list all the items in the feature's Options menu as well as the items that would be chosen using the left and right selection keys on other devices. To see these items, press the scroll wheel on the left or right side of the device. Scroll up and down to highlight an item, and press the scroll wheel once to choose it. The first item of a feature's menu is highlighted by default, so if you double-press the scroll wheel of a Blackberry 7130g or 8700g for example, then you are choosing that first item and its command goes into effect. Menus change depending on the currently open feature, content, or selected item. To close the menu and return to the feature, use the Back key right underneath the scroll wheel.

Blackberry 7130g

To navigate the carousel, use the scrolling wheel to scroll left or right through the carousel features.

To open the feature's menu, press the scroll wheel. Scroll to an item and press the wheel again to execute the item's command.

To navigate back to the carousel, use the Back key under the scrolling wheel.

Blackberry 8700g

The controls for the 8700g are the same as for the 7130g listed above. The carousel of features, however, is at the right side of the display. Where you are instructed in this help system to scroll left or right through the carousel of features, the action you will see will be up and down.

Blackberry 8100

To open the Options menu, press the menu key to the left of the trackball. Standard menu items—for example, Switch Application, Close, or Exit Yahoo! Go 2.0 are listed last, below the Options menu items.
