Remote-loading is when certain files from your GeoCities account are linked to or accessed from a location other than your GeoCities site.

Yahoo! GeoCities provides members with 15 MB of space for their personal web site when using the Free Package. All files within your directory (viewable from within the File Manager) should be incorporated into your site.

For example:

• A member who uploads a file to their directory that is not incorporated into their site, and makes the URL to that file publicly known so someone can try to view or download that file outside the Yahoo! GeoCities domain, would be in violation of remote loading.
• A member who uploads an MP3 or other media file to their directory and then has their friends or anyone try to download or listen to that file from outside the Yahoo! GeoCities domain would be in violation of remote loading.
• A member who creates a site that incorporates images that another person then references for a site outside of the Yahoo! GeoCities would NOT be in violation of remote loading.
