Replace an article

Use the Symbol Lookup Tool and select the type of quote you want to look for (or 'All' types).

Remember you can enter multiple ticker codes (if you know them) to show several quotes on a single page. So, for example, you could pick a couple of stocks and also an index they are trading within, to see how they are performing relative to the whole index.

Market indices

Ticker symbols for these items all begin with the circumflex (caret) symbol, "^". Some popular ticker symbols for indices:

^FTSE - FTSE 100
^FTMX - FTSE 250
^FTLC - FTSE 350
^FTAS - FTSE All Shares
^DMT - Amex Dow Jones Trans Average
^N225 - Nikkei 225
^HSI - Hang Seng
^GDAXI - Frankfurt

You can include the values of the market indices along with your other quotes by including one of the above or another market index ticker symbol in your request.
