Edit information in your portfolio (add and remove symbols, update shares information, etc.) by selecting the portfolio name from the main Yahoo! Finance page.

On the next screen, click the "Edit" link next to the name of the portfolio. This brings up the Edit screen and you can proceed with your changes.

To change the number of shares you own, basis for the issue, or limit information, push the "Enter More Info" button at the bottom of the page under Step 4.

Note: If you add additional information under Step 4, you might need to also edit one of your views so that the view template includes columns for the newly added data (see the section on views).

To make multiple entries of the same stock ticker for the purposes of different cost basis, different purchase dates, or dividend distributions, select "Edit" next to the portfolio name. Enter the ticker symbol at Step 2 (Ticker Symbols) as many times as necessary to correspond with the number of times you wish it to appear. Select the "Enter More Info" button at the bottom of the Edit page to enter the different cost basis (purchase price) and share information.

To delete tickers from your portfolio, log on to Yahoo! Finance and select "Edit" next to the name of the portfolio in which the ticker appears. Highlight and delete or backspace over the ticker symbol at Step 2 (Ticker Symbols).

First, select the portfolio name from the main Yahoo! Finance page. On the next screen, click the "Edit" link next to the name of the portfolio to open the Edit screen. Click the "Delete This Portfolio" link at the top of the page.
