If you're experiencing problems with sound in Yahoo! Games such as:

• no sound
• the sound cuts out, especially when another application on your computer makes a sound
• the game freezes after a sound effect is heard
• any similar problem,

a likely cause is old or low quality sound cards and/or device drivers. If you're technologically savvy, it shouldn't be too much trouble to locate updated sound card drivers and install them. Otherwise, you may want to contact the manufacturer of your computer or the sound card manufacturer to see if updated drivers are available, and if so, how to install them.

If you're unable or unwilling to go through the trouble of updating your sound drivers, there are several steps you can take to circumvent the problem.

• The quickest way to get the sound back is to clear your cache and restart your computer.
• Play without the sound effects (uncheck the "Sound" or "Audio Alert" box in the game).
• Close all other applications while playing Yahoo! Games, especially those which use sound.
