Account Users

Use the Account Users page to search for and view a list of users who have been granted access to a specific account. Master Account Administrators can create a new user and assign an account role to this user. If the master account contains multiple accounts, existing master account users can be assigned a role for the specified account if he or she does not already have one.

Managing Users

You can manage users with the Search and Sort functions.

Search

Use the search function to find users by all or part of their name or email address. For example, you can search for users with a last name of Smith or search for anyone with yahoo.com in their email address.

To search for a user by name or email:

  1. Click the Administration tab > Accounts subtab.

    • If you have one account, the Account Summary page opens.

    • If you have more than one account, identify the account and click its link. The Account Summary page opens.

  2. In the User Administration panel, click the Edit link. The Account Users page opens.

  3. Enter the search term in the Name or email contains field. For example, Smith, yahoo.com

  4. Click the Search button. The users who have access to the specified account and meet your search criteria are displayed in the Account Users page.

You can also search for users who have been assigned a certain account role. For example, you can search for all users assigned the Account Manager role for Account 12345.

To search for a user by account role:

  1. Click the Administration tab > Accounts subtab.

    • If you have one account, the Account Summary page opens.

    • If you have more than one account, identify the account and click its link. The Account Summary page opens.

  2. In the User Administration panel, click the Edit link. The Account Users page opens.

  3. Select the role from the Role dropdown list. For example, Account Manager.

  4. Click the Search button. The users who have access to the specified account and have been assigned the account role you entered are displayed in the Account Users page.

Sort

Click on the heading of any column to sort the list of users in the Account Users page by that column. For example, you can sort alphabetically by user name, first name, last name, email address or account role.

Understanding Users and Accounts

When a user is created, that user is associated with the master account. The user may then be assigned an account role for each account that exists under the master account. If a user is granted an account role for an account, the user may access the account. If a user is not assigned an account role for an account, the user cannot view or manage data associated with that account.

  • In the Account Users page, click the Add a User link to open the Create Account User page. When a user is created in the Create Account User page, the user is associated with the master account and can be assigned a role for a single account.

  • In the Master Account Users page, click the Add a Master Account User link to open the Create Master Account User page. When a user is created in the Create Master Account User page, the user is associated with the master account and can be assigned a role for any of the accounts that are part of the master account.

  • If there is only one account and one master account, you can use either the Create Account User page or the Create Master Account User page to create new users. The master account role can be set to Administrator or Non-Administrator in the Create Master Account User page. However, the master account role is always defaulted to Non-Administrator in the Create Account User page.
