Are you missing the Internet Explorer toolbar that displays the File, Edit, and View menus? If so, there are a couple of possible causes.
First, make sure you aren't in fullscreen mode. If you are, you'll only see the navigation bar with the Forward, Back, and other buttons at the top of your screen. If that's the case:
- Press the F11 key on your keyboard.
- The other toolbars in IE should appear.
You can press F11 as many times as necessary to switch between normal and fullscreen mode in IE.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you might have accidentally moved one of your other toolbars over the main toolbar. Try the following:
- Directly to the left of the Y!, you should see a thin vertical bar.
- Click this bar with the left mouse button and drag the toolbar straight down.
- Your main IE toolbar should now be visible.
Once your toolbars are how you want them, you can right-click the IE toolbar and select "Lock the Toolbars" to keep them from moving accidentally in the future.
