We offer a quick and easy way to add new friends or update the contact information of an existing contact in your Yahoo! Messenger List. To add a contact to your Messenger List:

1. Start in any one of the following three ways:
• Click the "Add" icon (smiley with plus sign) located above the Contact Search Bar.
• Click the "Contacts" menu located in the IM window and select "Add a contact."
• Click the Plus icon located to the right of the sender's ID in the IM window. Then skip to step 3.
2. Enter a Yahoo! ID or Yahoo! Mail address of the contact. (If you do not know the Yahoo! ID or Yahoo! Mail address of the contact, enter their email address. The contact you are attempting to add will receive an email invitation.)
3. Click the "Next" button.
4. Select the group and identity you would like to add this contact under. You can also include a brief message along with the request.
5. Click the "Finish" button.

1. Right-click on the individual in your Messenger List and select "Contact Details."
2. Enter or edit the information and click the "Save & Close" button.
