Yahoo! Messenger uses several icons within the Messenger List, so you can tell which of your contacts are ready to converse.

• A yellow happy face or Avatar icon means that the contact is online.
• A red circle icon to the left of the yellow happy face or Avatar icon means the contact is online, but has chosen to have their status show as Busy and might not be available.
• A clock icon to the left of the yellow happy face or Avatar icon means that the contact is idle; that is, they are still online but have not used the computer in a while.
• A phone icon to the left of the yellow happy face means that the contact is online with their mobile phone.
• A grey face icon means that the contact is offline.
