To establish a normal IM window:

1. Click the "IMV" button located at the bottom of the Instant Message window and then select the "No IMVironment" option.

To disable IMVs:

1. Click the "Messenger" menu and select "Preferences."
2. Click the "Messages" category.
3. Uncheck the "Enable IMVironments" option.
4. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.

Note: To enable IMVs, check the "Enable IMVironments" option.
