If you can't see your picture or your Avatar, you might have a corrupt file in your cache folder. Deleting the cache files will correct this display issue. Follow these steps:
- Go to your desktop and double-click "My Computer."
- Click the "C:" drive.
- Find these folders:
- "C://Program Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/cache/Avatars"
- "C://Program Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/cache/Icon"
- Highlight the files in the above folders and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
- Sign in to Yahoo! Messenger and you should be all set.
Note: Make sure you have the Macromedia Flash Player installed. (Please use Internet Explorer to install the player.)
