Click the envelope icon at the top of the window to convert your message to an email. And if the person hops online while you're texting them and you'd rather just chat, click the chat bubble icon to start chatting. If you don’t have the person’s email address or chat ID in your Contacts, you’ll be asked to complete the “To:” field manually.
