Yahoo! Auctions ratings let buyers and sellers rate their satisfaction with each other. Only the winning bidder and the corresponding seller of an auction can rate one another.
How ratings are determined:
Each user (buyer or seller) represents a unique vote. Each time someone rates you, their rating reflects their opinion of the most recent transaction that took place. Only their most recent rating are factored into your total score.
| (+1) | is added for each positive comment or praise. |
| (-1) | is added for each negative comment or complaint. |
| (0) | is given for each neutral comment. |
Here's an example of what you'll see:
| Transactions Over Time | Transactions in Value | ||||
| Past Week | Past Month | Past 6 Months | Total | |
| Good | 5 | 10 | 15 | 15 |
| Neutral | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
| Bad | 0 | 0 | 2 | 2 |
| Total | 5 | 10 | 17 | 17 |
Here's an example of how it works:
How do I rate someone?
When an auction closes, both the buyer and seller receive an email notice. This email message includes a URL for the web page of the closed auction. On that page, the buyer and seller can rate one another and post feedback. If you no longer have the email notice, you can rate the buyer or seller by returning to the web page of the closed auction through [property_myauctions/].
Some reminders about feedback:
Feedback can't be edited or removed by Yahoo! Auctions. You are entirely responsible for the words you post, including slanderous statements. Please be mature and professional in your comments.
Individuals who abuse the feedback system are removed from Yahoo! Auctions and are barred from participating in our auctions.
