To change your image, you need the desktop version of Yahoo! Messenger. Do you have it? OK, great.

Here’s how to if it’s a photo.

1. There are two ways to configure your picture:
• Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Preferences." Select the "Display Image" category and click the "Change Default" button.
• Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "My Display Image."
2. Select the "Share my picture" option and click the "Select a Picture" graphic.
3. Select a picture or use one of your own by clicking the "Browse" button. With this button you can browse your hard drive for a picture. The picture must be one of the following graphic types: .bmp, .jpeg, .png, or .gif.
4. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.

To change your avatar, visit http://asia.avatars.yahoo.com/. Sign in (if you haven’t already) and customize – that’s right, customize – your avatar. Your changes are in effect until the next time you feel the urge to make yourself over. Which could be in like five minutes!
