To search your past messages, you need to have ‘turned on’ archiving.

To search your instant messages:

1. Click History in the top-right area of the page.
2. Type what you’re looking for in the search box, where it says in gray letters: Search message history….
3. Then click Search, or press your Enter key.

A listing of messages that match your search term(s) appears. Click on a line to preview the message below the search results.
