How to configure my phone to access Yahoo! Mail via POP?
- Go to your mobile phone's mail settings and configure the following:
- User name: your Yahoo! ID (e.g. johndoe)
- Email address: your Yahoo! email address (e.g. johndoe@yahoo.com.ph)
- Password: your Yahoo! password
- Incoming mail server: pop.mail.yahoo.com.ph
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com.ph
- Mailbox type: POP3
- Access point: set to default
- But before that, make sure you have done the following:
- Subscribed to 3G / GPRS. In order to verify this, call up your mobile operator hotline and ask whether this has been activated for you. If it has not been activated you can request to do so now
- Your phone has been configured to access WAP using 3G / GPRS. Call up your mobile operator hotline or visit their web site to find out more details on how to configure your phone.
- Make sure you are able to browse a site using your mobile phone's browser. You can try going to http://wap.yahoo.com.ph
