How do I enable bulk filtering when POPing?

To better manage your POPed emails when downloading the bulk folder, Yahoo! Mail Plus customers can add the word "bulk" to the subject line. This allows you to set up filters on your mail client to automatically route bulk mail messages into a specific folder.

This option is defaulted to off and can be turned on by logging into your account and following these steps:

  1. Log into your Yahoo! Mail account.
  2. Click the "Mail Options" link in the upper-right of the navigation bar.
  3. Select the link labeled "POP Access and Forwarding" under the Management column.
  4. Check "For messages that SpamGuard thinks are spam, add [Bulk] as a prefix to the subject."
  5. Click "Save Changes."
