Problems sending mail in my POP3 email client

The Yahoo! Mail SMTP server requires authentication. To learn how to configure your email program, please choose from the following supported programs: If your program and version are not listed above, you may have trouble connecting to the Yahoo! Mail SMTP servers. Other programs and versions are not supported.

Please make sure that you have entered your Yahoo! Mail Address as the "From" address in your email client. You will not be able to send mail if you have entered another address.

If you have the Norton AntiVirus email feature enabled, you may have to do additional configuration to use Outlook or Outlook Express. For more information, please visit the following Symantec web site:

If you have tried the above steps and continue to have problems, your ISP may not allow its users to send messages with other companies' SMTP outgoing mail servers.

If you have set the "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server" field in Yahoo! Mail to smtp.mail.yahoo.com.ph, have set your client to use authenticated SMTP, and find that you can receive but cannot send messages, then you may need to use port 587 when sending via Yahoo!'s SMTP server.
