Errors Receiving Mail (POP)

There are a number of factors that could cause difficulties with POP access. We've outlined most of them below:
  • Correct Password?
Are you sure that the password you're using to access your Yahoo! Mail is correct? To find out, go to: http://ph.mail.yahoo.com. If you're able to log in to your Yahoo! account with the password you have been using, then your password hasn't changed. If you can't log in, you can request a new password by filling out the Password Request Form.
  • POP Access Option
Have you selected the option for POP access on the Mail Delivery Status page? To find out if you have, click on "Mail Options" on the top right side in Yahoo! Mail, and then on POP Access & Forwarding. Make sure to click "Submit" when you are done. Please note, your account will not be POP enabled if you have selected the "Forwarding" option. These are separate features that can't be used at the same time.
  • Client Settings
Is there a problem with your email client settings? Please make sure that you've configured your email client with these settings:
    • Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com.ph (Port 110)
    • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com.ph (Port 25)
    • Account Name/Login Name: your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com.ph")
    • Email Address: your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., user@yahoo.com.ph)

For information on entering these settings into various email clients, read the Mail Help section.
