When do you need your registry key? Never, unless you decide to cancel your plan and manage your domain name with Melbourne IT instead of Yahoo! or another registrar. Please note that we do not recommend this option.

If you want to keep your domain but no longer need your store, web site, or email, we recommend signing up for our basic /domains/]Yahoo! Domains plan, which will allow you to continue managing your own domain with your Yahoo! tools.

If you're certain you want to leave Yahoo!, but you plan to keep your domain name, we strongly recommend transferring your domain to another provider.
