The ratings filter feature, called "minimum rating" on Yahoo! Finance Stock Message Boards, allows you to hide messages that have an overall ratings below a specific level. For example, when viewing a topic/thread, you might decide that you only want to view messages with overall ratings of 3 stars or higher. By selecting 3 stars from the rating filter/minimum rating pull-down menu, all messages rated 1 or 2 stars are hidden from view.

The ratings filter/minimum rating in each of the five thread views is located just above and to the right of the messages. When you select an option from the list, your ratings filter/minimum rating are set automatically. You need to reset your ratings filter/minimum rating each time you view a topic/thread.

You might also save your ratings filter/minimum rating, which preserves your preferences each time you return to any message board on Yahoo!. The default ratings settings can be found in the Message Boards Settings section on the Ratings Settings page.
