How do I compose messages (and personalise my signature) with Colour and Graphics, or switch back to plain text?

Have some fun with your emails and give them some visual variety by composing messages using colors, fonts, and a variety of text formats—it's like having a built-in word processor.

You can begin making emails featuring colour and graphics right now. Click here to get started.

If you'd rather not compose emails using Colour and Graphics, you can switch back to plain text. Here's how:

  1. Click "Options" in the upper-right corner of the page.
  2. In the page that opens, under "Management," click "General Preferences."
  3. In the "Composing Emails" section, select "Compose messages as plain text" if you'd prefer to get back to the basics. You can switch back to Colour and Graphics mode at any time.
  4. Click the "Save" button.

You can also use Colour and Graphics to create a signature with your own personal style. Click "Options" in the upper-right of your Yahoo! Mail page, and in the page that opens, under "Management," click "Signature."

Note: A signature that features colour and graphics requires colour and graphics mode if you want the signature to be sent and viewed in colour. If you've selected "Compose messages as plain text" and have a colour and graphics signature, your signature will appear in plain text—no colour.
