How does Yahoo! Music Unlimited combining with Rhapsody affect me?
Rhapsody does not offer any subscription services in Canada at this time and only US users will be able to transfer their service to Rhapsody. Yahoo! Music will discontinue the Yahoo! Music Unlimited service in Canada on September 30, 2008 (date subject to change).
If you are a Yahoo! Music Unlimited or Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go subscriber, you will still be able to access your subscription for a limited time. If you are an annual subscriber, your sevice will end on your next billing anniversary after April 30, 2008. If you are a monthly subscriber, you will continue to have access to your subscription until your next renewal date after August 30, 2008. Any active subscribers remaining after September 30, 2008 will receive a pro-rata refund for any unused subscription time when the service is shut down.
Will Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscribers in Canada be migrated to Rhapsody?
No, Rhapsody is not available in Canada. Yahoo! Music Unlimited will be discontinued in Canada and user subscriptions will not renew. If your renewal date is after the date we shut down the Unlimted service, we will provide a pro-rata refund for the time remaining on your subscription.
What will happen to all of the subscription music I have saved to My Music library in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox after the service is shut down or my subscription expires?
After the service is shut down, saved subscription tracks and albums will no longer play.
What will happen to the tracks and albums I have purchased from the Yahoo! Music Unlimited service?
Music you purchased from Yahoo! Music Unlimited will continue to play after the service is shut down. We strongly recommend you back up all the music you purchased from Yahoo! Music Unlimited to audio CDs. This will allow you to recover your music in the event the licenses for your digital copies of the file expire and cannot be recovered.
I purchased Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus. Will I be able to use my “Plus” premium features after Yahoo! Music Unlimited is shut down?
You will still be able to use your Plus features in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox to manage your local music files after the subscription service is shut down.
