Only Hearing 30-Second Samples
You may listen to full songs by becoming a subscriber to Yahoo! Music Unlimited or by purchasing a burnable download of the song. Without a Y! Unlimited subscription, you hear :30 music samples from the Y! Unlimited library. (Please note that in some cases, the music publishers only allow :30 samples of songs to be heard, even if you have a subscription to Yahoo! Music Unlimited. You can see what songs are limited to :30 samples by viewing the song list in the album view, if you are a Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscriber and you are signed in. In that case, all songs that are fully playable will show with the green play arrow, and those for which only a :30 sample is offered will show the >30 button.)
Aside from this issue, though, if you have an active subscription to Yahoo! Music Unlimited, yet cannot hear full songs, there may be several technical causes. Try the solutions below:
-
Are You Signed In?
Confirm you are signed in using the Yahoo! ID associated with your Yahoo! Music Unlimited account.
- In the upper right corner of the Yahoo! Music Jukebox center pane, you should see your user ID. If you see "Welcome Guest," this means you are not signed in.
- Click Sign In and enter your ID and password. Be sure it's the Yahoo! ID you use for your Y! Unlimited account.
-
Clear Your Cookies
If you are signed in and have checked the issues above and you still hear only the 30-second sample, try deleting the cookies:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Go to: Tools > Internet Options.
- On the "General" tab, you will see a section called "Temporary Internet Files". Beneath it, click the button "Delete Cookies." Click OK in the confirm message, then OK again to close the box.
- Go to the homepage of the Yahoo! Music Jukebox and sign in, then try playing the track again.

More Solutions
If you are signed in and still hear only the 30-second samples: does this problem happen with all tracks you attempt to play, or only with certain tracks?
- If it only happens with certain tracks, this may be a problem with the track itself in our database. If possible, please contact Yahoo! Customer Care with the artist, album and song title of the problem track(s) and we will investigate.
- If it happens with all tracks, please exit and then restart the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. Also, if you have personal firewall applications or pop-up or other ad-blocking applications, these are also known as possible reasons why songs won't play. Try shutting these applications off to see if that clears the problem.
If you are signed in, a Y! Unlimited subscriber, and the solutions above still do not allow you to hear full songs, contact Yahoo! Customer Care.
