Yes, you can change how your name appears on your outgoing email. Adjusting the "Sending Name" field changes how your name appears in other peoples' incoming mail. You can also adjust the email address they'll send a message to when they click "Reply."

Here's how to do it:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo! Mail
  2. Click the Options menu in the upper-left corner, and select Mail Options from the pull-down list.
  3. From the list on the left, click Mail Accounts.
  4. Click Yahoo! Mail under Accounts.
  5. In the Sending Name field, provide your name exactly as you'd like it to appear within your outgoing messages. Note: If you leave the Sending Name field blank, your email address appears in the "From" field.
  6. If you'd like a different return address to be included, enter it in the Reply-To field. If you leave this field blank, your Yahoo! Mail address is the return address in your outgoing messages.
  7. To save your changes, close the Options tab (hover over the tab and click the X that appears).

Please note that it isn't possible to hide your email address when sending messages from a Yahoo! Mail account. When you send a message, your address will appear in the "From" field in the header of the message.
