First, the core search functionality has been dramatically upgraded. It will now search the entire message archive of a group, no matter how many messages have been posted, fast and comprehensively.
In addition, "advanced search" options have been added like the ability to limit searches by a specific date range, by who posted the message, or whether the key words being searched were in the subject or message body.
