How do I place an ad for my vehicle?
To post ads to any category within Yahoo! Canada Classifieds, you will first need:
- A proper Canadian Postal Code.
- A Yahoo! ID. If you have registered for any other Yahoo! property, you already have a Yahoo! ID. If not, you can sign up for one right now. It's free.
Once you have registered and logged in,
- Go to the Yahoo! Canada Autos home page.
- In the Classified category, click on the Sell Your Car link.
- Choose the model, and then the make of your vehicle.
- Fill out the details form, giving as much information as you like. If you have a web site and wish to link to a picture of your vehicle, just enter the URL of the photo. If you don't have a web site and want to get one, just go to www.geocities.com.(Note that giving your postal code does not mean that only people in that postal code will see your ad. Rather, your ad will be linked to either a state or metropolitan area, and all users in that state or metropolitan area will see it.)
- Click the \"Submit Entry\" button at the bottom of the form. We'll show you a page of how your ad will appear. Click the \"Edit Ads\" link under the banner to edit or delete the ad.
Important: Your ad should appear on our site in 48 hours and will stay up for 30 days. You can edit it at anytime before it shows up. Here are a few things to keep in mind to make sure you've done everything correctly:
- Ads can only be posted to Canadian cities.
- If you receive error messages, but do not correct them, the ad will not post.
- When you submit or edit your ad, we will show you where your ad will be posted (e.g., Ontario, Ottawa region). If you receive the message, \"You don't currently have any ads listed\" when you click Edit Ads, please resubmit your ad.
- It normally takes around 48 hours from the time you post an ad to the time it actually shows up on our site. This is also true when you edit or delete your ads. This time can change if we experience problems.
