Congratulations! You have a winner. What should you do next?

Send the winner an email. The buyer and seller are responsible for contacting each other to arrange payment and shipping of the item sold. In your email, you can include the following information:
- Winning bid price.
- Shipping costs.
- Your address, so your winner can send you a check if you accept payment by checks.
- Information on your payment and shipping policy.
Also, you should ask the winner to respond to your email with a shipping address.

Wait for payment to be received. If a winner is paying by check, you may need to wait a couple of days to receive the check.

Wait for payment to clear. If you receive a check, we recommend you deposit the check and wait for it to clear before you send the item.

Ship the item.

Send the winner an email informing the winner that the item has been shipped. Be sure to included an estimated time of arrival.

Rate the winner.
Now you can keep track of the status of your item by entering in notes under \"Transaction Log\" on your closed item page. The notes will be time-stamped so you can easily record when you received the payment, sent the item, etc. When you send a PayDirect bill or rate the buyer, it will also appear in the transaction log. The transaction log is only visible for the seller and winning bidder, so you can use this space to communicate with your bidder.
