Password prompting allows you to set how often you will be asked by Yahoo! to supply your password.

For example, if you chose "Every 1 Hour" in the Password Prompting section and you signed into Yahoo! at noon, you would be able to get to your Yahoo! Mail without supplying another password until 1 pm. After 1 pm, you would be required to enter your password again.

Note that Password Prompting only affects you after you have signed in.
