How do I uninstall McAfee VirusScan 9?

To uninstall McAfee VirusScan 9, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start at the lower left of your screen in the Windows Taskbar.
  2. Choose Control Panel or, for Windows 98/Me/2000, Settings > Control Panel.
  3. Click on Add or Remove Programs or, for Windows 98/Me/2000, Add/Remove.
  4. Click McAfee VirusScan from the list of currently installed programs.
  5. Click Remove or, for Windows 98/Me, Add/Remove.
  6. When asked if you are sure you want remove McAfee VirusScan and all its components, click Yes or OK.
    If you are prompted to remove shared files, click Yes to All.
  7. After McAfee VirusScan is removed from your computer, reboot it.

Once you have uninstalled the McAfee antivirus software, please return to the Rogers Yahoo! Software Centre to install Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection with Norton AntiVirus™. It is important that you do this immediately after removing your existing antivirus program to make sure your computer is protected.
